In addition to the already mentioned presentations on various conferences, we also presented our activity and ideas at the State of the Map 2010, which was taking place from the July 9th 11th, 2010 in Girona, Spain. The actual talk took place on Friday, unfortunately it had to be rescheduled on short notice, so later we received feedback from some people that wanted to hear it, but missed it due to that change in schedule. Anyways, we brought one of the XO-Laptops to the conference, it attracted quite some attention within the breaks and some people where interested in it, our activity as well as the general XO-Laptop case. After the 20-minute talk, we used the opportunity to experience a whole weekend packed with many interested topics from the open street map world. It became quite obvious, that the idea of creating a open street map editor for children (which is on our wider roadmap) would be an useful and interesting approach towards the whole open street map concept, especially with regard to the scientific background of our initiative. You can find our presentation slides here, a video of the presentation will be made available by the conference organization soon, we keep you updated on that issue.
